Art & Lifestyle: Living Creatively Every Day

“Art isn’t just something I create - it’s a way of life.”

Welcome to my world, where creativity meets lifestyle and art becomes part of everyday living. For me, Art isn’t just something I hang on walls or carve out time for - it’s in how I make my living, and it’s how I connect and care for my wellbeing.

In this post, I’ll share how I use art for home décor, mindfulness, parenting, and emotional wellness - from choosing meaningful pieces to practicing creative journaling and mindful doodling.

Art in the Everyday: Decorating With Intention

Art doesn’t have to be grand or expensive to make a difference. Whether it’s a bold original painting or a small modern art print that complements a cozy corner, every piece adds soul to a space.

I love offering people affordable wall art and contemporary art prints that feel personal and accessible - whatever your budget. Think:

  • Small prints for gallery walls

  • Modern statement artwork to anchor a room

  • Subtle, abstract pieces that enhance your existing decor

Art in your home should tell your story. It can be bold or quiet, vibrant or minimal—but it should always feel like you.

Aesthetic Living: Why Surroundings Matter

We are visual beings. Aesthetic surroundings nourish us, and art in interior design plays a big role in how we feel in our homes. Calm, inspiring spaces support emotional wellness and encourage creativity.

Creating a beautiful space with artwork for mental wellbeing isn’t about trends - it’s about intention. It’s about curating a home where you feel at peace, energised, and connected.

“As humans, we thrive on aesthetic experiences. They help us wonder, dream, and feel at home in ourselves.”

Creativity as Self-Care: Doodle for Mindfulness

One of the most powerful things I offer is my Doodle for Mindfulness workshop. It’s where art meets wellness - no pressure, no perfectionism, just space to breathe and create.

Whether you’re managing stress, anxiety, or just need a creative reset, mindful doodling offers:

  • A simple way to practice art for mental health

  • A gentle introduction to art therapy techniques

  • A calming tool to quiet a busy mind

These workshops focus on creativity for stress relief, self-expression, and being present. You don’t need to be an artist - you just need to show up for yourself.

“Creative mindfulness isn’t about the outcome. It’s about the experience and creative process.”

Parenting Creatively: Art With My Daughter

Some of my favourite creative moments happen with my daughter. From journaling and painting to spontaneous crafting, these activities aren’t just fun - they’re meaningful bonding time and emotional development in motion.

Through art, I’m teaching her:

  • That creativity is a tool for self-expression

  • That it's okay to explore feelings with a pen or a paintbrush

  • That curiosity is something to be nurtured - not outgrown

By encouraging creative play for children, we help them build resilience, imagination, and emotional intelligence. I want her to grow up knowing she always has a way to process the world - creatively, safely, and joyfully.

“When we live creatively with our kids, we teach them that they can feel, imagine, and express—freely and fully.”

Why Living Creatively Matters

To live creatively is to live with presence. With wonder. With curiosity. It’s a lifestyle that celebrates art, wellness, expression, and home as sacred spaces.

When you decorate your home with intention, when you journal instead of scroll, when you pick up a paintbrush instead of a to-do list - you’re choosing to live with heart. You're choosing a life that’s rich in meaning, texture, and truth.

As a professional artist, I have the joy and privilege of creating original artwork and working on commissions that find their way into people’s homes - bringing light, curiosity, and emotional connection into their spaces.

While my art is deeply ingrained in who I am, it’s also my little business - one that allows me to share my creativity in many ways: producing meaningful pieces that resonate with others, running workshops that support wellbeing, teaching and inspiring young people, and creating alongside my daughter at home.

Whether I’m painting for a client, guiding a group through mindful doodling, or simply making something just for me, art is the thread that weaves through every part of my life - and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
